Systems Consultant

We are looking for a Systems Consultant who is extremely customer focused and has extensive server support experience. The Systems Consultant will execute, and in some cases, lead various projects that center around the effective delivery of server systems and applications. The following breakdown identifies the mix of activities expected for the person in this role.

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS

  • BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Industry best practices in terms of implementation and operations of proposed solutions
  • Expert-level understanding and delivery of Virteva’s processes
  • Background and/or certifications in ITIL, COBIT, or CMMI
  • Ability to communicate, mentor, teach, and explain concepts at multiple levels with the capability to extract the business value related to the proposed solutions
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication processes and systems a plus
  • High-level Cisco systems knowledge preferred, including VPN systems administration
  • 3+ years of experience focusing on the technology or equivalent
  • Consulting experience a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to and process requests for support from the Service Desk
  • Support Windows Server file and print, SCCM, and SCOM environments
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory environment for both Virteva and its clients
  • Support Enterprise Directory system(s), including Forefront Identity Manager, Identity Lifecycle Manager, and other products as required
  • Provide escalation support for Microsoft Online Services, including Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) messaging and collaboration systems
  • Authors and provides user instruction as needed
  • Researching, evaluating and providing feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements
  • Providing customer and technical training, when required
